The repair technicians we connect you with run their own businesses. They set their own prices, schedules and warranties, and they are responsible for their work. Appliance Repair Help is not the repair company and does not employ the technicians.

What to ask the technician
Diagnostic or service-call fee
Ask what it costs for the technician to come out and find the problem, and whether that fee is applied to the repair if you go ahead.
License
Ask whether the technician holds the license your state or city requires for appliance work, especially for gas appliances.
Insurance
Confirm the provider carries liability insurance in case something is damaged during the visit.
Warranty on parts and labor
Ask how long the repair is guaranteed, and whether the warranty covers both the parts and the work itself.
